ASK BOX: #1

Hey everyone! I am so sorry for the lack of posts in the last month! I have been so busy with uni, volunteer work and prep work for my trip to Korea and Japan in November! OMG I AM SO EXCITED! 2 MONTHS TO GO!~ Please leave a comment or message me if you have any recommendations!~ ^_^

I have a few reviews drafted and I will be trying to post them as soon as I start my 2K+ essay that is due next week. Huehuehue

.

.

Anon 1: Hey there Anon!~ For my reviews I used the Samsung NX 300 (with the 18-55 mm lenses).  I absolutely adore this camera! It takes amazing close up shots and makes it easy to zoom in on the packaging descriptions. It looks really pretty too! The only downside is that I don’t really like using Adobe Lightroom to edit the RAW images but that’s because I’m so used to using Adobe Photoshop. >.< It is pricey in my opinion, but if you are going to use this constantly, it can become a worthy investment. :D

.

Anon 2: Hi dear!~ I don’t really use Laneige products, especially in regards to their skincare products. However, I do feel that it is targeted towards an older audience which is shown through the packaging and pricing positions. If you really would like to try out Laneige products, you can certainly start off with lip tints and face masks to see whether it suits your skin. There are other brands that may be more suitable for your skin such as Innisfree and Etude House that may be more targeted towards your age bracket. ^_^

.

Anon 3: Hey there!~ That’s ok, please ask as much as you want! LOL My favourite offline brand would have to be Miss Shop (which is an exclusive brand under Myer - an Australian department store for those who aren’t familiar with it) and other brands that are available at Myer (such as Tokito etc). I also like Dotti~ Australian clothes can be so expensive! OTL Hope this helps! ^_^

.

Anon 4: Hey darl!~ I don’t contour my face but I do use a highlighter! I am very lazy when it comes to contouring/highlighting so I only have one product that I use and can recommend. It is Innisfree’s Mineral Glam Brighter (No.2 - Pouring Moonlight Sheen). It was very inexpensive and works quite well! I actually have a review for this product in draft status, so keep an eye out for that~ ^_^

.

Anon 5: Hey Anon!~ Yes, I reckon it dries up pretty quickly! I was using it for about 3 months (quite regularly) and I could see that it was harder for me to get enough product onto the applicator. This is quite a common issue when it comes to using cushion products. >.< I had a similar issue with my Hera UV Mist Cushion and I’m pretty sure it wasn’t because I used it so often. If you are looking for a base product that would last for a long time, I wouldn’t suggest that you to purchase a cushion product. You could consider Mamonde’s Real Skin Founder (a pact)~ I’ve been using it consistently for a few months now and have just hit the pan. I am in love with it~ I am currently preparing a review so please keep an eye out for it. ^_^ Hope this helps!

Hey everyone! It has definitely been a while since I have posted a WIWW post! I just got back to uni and it has been pretty hectic. I have been trying to get back into “study mode” and consequently, I have been neglecting my blog. >.<

Initially I had planned to post this two weeks ago but didn’t get the chance to finish it until now. I am an absolute hoarder when it comes to lip products! In this post I will introduce a few recent lip products that have caught my eye.

im currently using the innisfree volcanic cleanser (the one u reviewed) and afterward i use the nature republic aloe vera gel (u reviewed also) and since it's not moisturizing enough, i put on my olay night time moisturizer and once a week i use the innisfree super volvanic mask. and i wash my face only at night, im trying to "complete" my routine with toner, essense, etc, but im not sure what is good for my sensitive (acne-ish) skin?

Hey darl!~

Your skincare routine sounds pretty solid to me! ^_^ However, I would recommend washing your face in the morning too (you can use a gentle cleanser) just to get rid of any dirt or bacteria on your skin from laying on your pillow etc~

Since you have sensitive (acne-ish) skin, I won’t be suggesting products that I haven’t tested. I don’t know if your skin would like the Etude House Wonder Pore Freshner, only because it contains alcohol (check out the ingredients here).

In regards to essences, I am currently in love with Primera’s Miracle Seed Essence! I bought it because skinfoodian persuaded me to~ LOL It is moisturising and I can see it making a difference to my skin tone and texture. I think it has also been helping my acne too! The ingredients list is pretty reassuring too (check it out here)! However, it is quite pricey and not as readily available as other brands such as Etude House. I purchased my bottle from TesterKorea (seems to be the most economically viable option), but I am sure you can find it on other websites. I have already purchased a back-up~

.

Hope this helps!~ Have a nice day! ^_^

recently i bought the nature republic aloe vera gel and i read some reviews and saw that people put it in the refrigerator to keep it cool, is that mandatory or will the gel be fine if i just leave it in my drawer with all my other skin care products?

Hey Anon!~

It is definitely not mandatory to store the gel in the refrigerator~ Leaving it outside is completely fine, assuming that you are not directly exposing it to any sunlight or extreme temperatures. ^_^ Most people leave it in the refrigerator because it they enjoy the cooling effect upon application.

Hope this helps! Have a nice day!~ ^_^

can u recommend me some sunblocks perfect for school? i have sensitive and oily skin and i dont wear make up, and maybe preferably waterproof since i sweat during school and PE, and also wont leave a white cast

Hey there Anon!~

At the moment, I am in love with The Face Shop Natural Sun Eco Sebum Control Moisture Sun SPF40 PA+++ (link here~)!

I have oily skin that is a bit sensitive, and have had no adverse reactions from using this sunblock. It leaves my skin feeling moisturised without the greasiness and does not leave a white cast. It dries to a semi-matte finish and does a decent job at controlling my oily skin. However, I don’t think this is waterproof though. I tend to avoid wearing waterproof products because I am afraid it might clog my pores. If you sweat off the sunblock and is out and about, I strongly recommend that you reapply~

Hope this helps! Have a nice day~ ^_^

Hello! So i just bought the Wonder Pore Freshner and from all the pics i got from the internet, the packaging says "Refine the skintones" but mine says "Refine skin tones" do you think etude has changed it? Or mine is fake? Hehe thanks!

Hey Anon!~

I just checked my Wonder Pore Freshner (the 500 ml bottle) and it says “Refine skin tones” too!~ I’m pretty sure my bottle is authentic~ Hopefully this is reassuring! LOL

Have a nice day!~ ^_^

Cosmetics that you can comfortably wear to school!~

image

Pictures were obtained from their respective websites and links are provided below.

.

I recently received an Anon message about what products I would recommend wearing to school and I decided to make a little post on it!~ I picked out some recent products and ones that I have used. You probably noticed that I didn’t include any eye (point make-up) products. That is because I actually don’t wear any on a daily basis, so I don’t really have any recommendations. These products can help you create a natural look that is appropriate for school~ You wouldn’t want to be over-doing it! ^_^

.

Etude House Princess Happy Ending Belle Rose Cheek Blusher {click here!}

image

Etude House has just released another Disney collection and the blusher is just adorable! It is also rather inexpensive!~

.

Etude House Drawing Eye Brow {click here!

image

I absolutely love this brow crayon! It is so easy to use and so cheap as well! I have gone through several sticks and haven’t looked elsewhere~ I didn’t start drawing in my eyes until I started university. I’m a late bloomer, I know. You won’t be needing this if you are blessed with naturally gorgeous brows. LOL

.

The Face Shop Natural Sun Eco Sebum Control Moisture Sun {click here!}

image

I am a believer in wearing sunscreen/sunblock everyday! I will not leave the house without some sort of SPF on my skin. I am really loving this sunscreen! It’s moisturising and doesn’t make my skin oily. It blends in like a dream! There is no white cast either~

.

The Face Shop Face It Aqua UV Color Control Cream {click here!}

image

I haven’t used this CC cream yet, but I would love to try it out soon! CC creams would probably be more appropriate for school because the coverage is on the lighter side~

.

The Saem Saemmul Chok Chok Lip Care Stick {click here!}

imageimage

The packaging for this tinted lip balm looks so adorable! You can use this on its own or bring it to school to freshen up. I always carry a tinted lip balm with me wherever I go because since I don’t wear eye make-up, I put an emphasis on my lips.

.

Nature Republic Hawaiian Fresh Pore BB SPF50 + PA+++ {click here!}

image

This BB cream looks really interesting! I have yet to try anything base products from Nature Republic and this has certainly peaked my interest! This BB cream is suitable for those who want to cover their blemishes while controlling sebum secretion. ^_^

Hello.. im planning to buy the Wonder Pore Whipping Foaming, i have a combination skin so i think it would be great for my skin. The only makeup that i wore everyday was only a concealer and a powder, do you think if i use a cleansing tissue first then wash my face with the foam would do great? Thanks! xD

Hello Anon!~

Yep! That sounds pretty good to me!~ As long as your cleansing tissue removes all your make-up, it should be completely fine. However, since you are going to double cleanse, remember to moisturise right after!~

Have a nice day!~ ^_^
